Job summary

thyssenkrupp Materials NA is seeking a 2nd shift warehouse associate to move materials and equipment using a forklift, with crane/hoist options as needed. You will operate on the warehouse floor, perform basic duties, and support production and shipping tasks.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, picking and packing, cycle counts, and forklift inspections daily. Safety, ISO, and 6S initiatives are emphasized to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English; French in Quebec is not applicable here.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and perform basic math.
• Prior forklift experience preferred.
• Safety-minded with ability to stand and move for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished goods, and equipment using a forklift.
• Load/unload trucks and verify correct items.
• Select, pack, and stage orders; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Complete cycle counts and inspect forklifts at shift start.

Job Summary

Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

2nd shift paying $21.63 per hour

Key Accountabilities:

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma/GED
• Ability to read and write English (in Quebec, must read and write French)
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet
• Ability to perform basic math skills
• Previous forklift experience
• Must be able to sit for long periods of time and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions
• Safety Mindset

Preferred Requirements:

• Use of handheld measuring tools
• Basic computer skills and knowledge, such as with database programs and Microsoft Office programs.
