Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Materials NA, Inc. seeks a Material Handler for 2nd shift in Bloomington, MN. You will move materials and packaging, load/unload trucks, and pick/pack orders on the warehouse floor near heavy equipment. Training and supervision are provided as needed.

Responsibilities include cycle counts, identifying defective material, and following health, safety, and 6S standards. Benefits and entry requirements are outlined in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs for 100 ft.
• Ability to perform basic math.
• Previous forklift experience is required.
• Able to sit for long periods and perform bending/reaching motions.
• Safety mindset and adherence to safety guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment using forklift and other moving equipment.
• Accurately remove and stock products according to inventory plan and fill customer orders.
• Load and unload trucks, verify correct items are loaded/unloaded.
• Pick, process, and pack orders; may cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Complete cycle counts and quality checks; identify defective material.
• Perform daily forklift inspections and report issues; support health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives.
• Assist with other duties to support warehouse operations as needed.

Job SummaryResponsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.Job DescriptionWe are hiring a Material Handler on 2nd shift. Pay $22-$24 per hour.Key Accountabilities:Accurately removes and stocks product, customer’s product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.Completes cycle Counts.Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.Performs general clean up.Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/CompetenciesThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirement for the performance of this job.
