Job summary

Thyssenkrupp Materials NA is hiring a Material Handler on 2nd shift to move materials and operate a forklift on the warehouse floor. You will handle loading/unloading, order picking, and packing while adhering to safety standards.

The role requires basic math, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and forklift experience. Strong attention to safety and the ability to work on site in Bloomington, MN are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and write English (French in Quebec).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 70 lbs. for 100 feet.
• Basic math skills needed.
• Previous forklift experience required.
• Must be able to sit for long periods and perform bending, twisting, squatting, reaching and grasping motions.

Responsibilities

• Move raw materials, finished products, and equipment using a forklift on the warehouse floor.
• Load and unload trucks, verify items loaded/unloaded.
• Select, package, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Perform cycle counts and identify defective material.
• Inspect forklift and report issues.
• Support health, safety, ISO and 6S initiatives.

Your responsibilities

Job Summary Responsible for movement of raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility using a forklift truck. May also utilize cranes, hoists, hand trucks, and other moving equipment to meet job requirements. Performs work under direct supervision. Handles basic issues and problems.

Job Description

We are hiring a Material Handler on 2nd shift. Pay $22-$24 per hour.

Key Accountabilities

• Accurately removes and stocks product, customer's product, and various supplies according to inventory plan.
• Accurately selects product to fill customer orders and package them properly.
• Loads and unload trucks and verify that correct items are loaded and unloaded.
• Picking, processing and packing orders, also may be required to cut orders on Kaltenbach saw.
• Completes cycle Counts.
• Identifies, holds and segregates defective material.
• Completes paperwork per work instructions, when required.
• Performs general clean up.
• Inspects forklift at the beginning of every shift; report issues to immediate supervisor or other designated personnel.
• Participates, support and comply with all health, safety, ISO and 6S Initiatives and requirements.
• Assists in any other duties to support the operation, as requested by supervisor or team lead.
• This is a position that works directly on the warehouse floor on or around heavy machinery.
