Primary Function of Position:

The Material Handler 1 is responsible for material-handling duties supporting Logistics operations, Production operations (both Sustaining and NPI), and other internal customers. To qualify, a Material Handler must maintain good standing (attendance, quality, behavior) and be certified to excel in at least 3 key tasks from the following: receiving (tote and bulk), parts put-away (tote and bulk), material transfers (MT), stock transfer orders (STO), and systems packing (all carts). This role also involves finishing goods kit assembly and global inventory replenishment to the logistics warehouse.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Receiving materials physically and systemically for use in production and engineering projects.
• Moving approved production materials from manufacturing to logistics storage locations.
• Replenishing parts at the point of use for designated production lines.
• Fulfilling and transacting MT requests, received electronically or via hard copy.
• Fulfilling and transacting STOs and packing system carts, performing systemic transactions in SAP and ISI’s Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Adhering to materials management policies, including FIFO, 5-S, Safety, Quality, and Good Warehousing/Housekeeping practices.
• Operating material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order-picking machines.
• Ensuring maintenance of handling equipment is current, communicated, and accurately tracked.
• Communicating the status of material movements and transactions via email to internal customers.
• Maintaining attention to priority, detail, and organization; coordinating the disposition of non-conforming material.
