Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Material Handler in Washington, MO to safely operate a forklift and move materials between production, inventory, and shipping. The role supports efficient inventory flow and order fulfillment on first shift.

Key duties include loading and unloading, staging for production and shipping, and ensuring accurate inventory movement. This onsite position emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • Forklift experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or similar environment.
  • Strong organizational skills to keep materials and inventory well arranged and easy to locate.
  • Ability to perform material handling tasks including loading, unloading, and moving products.
  • Experience with picking and inventory support activities.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and operating equipment responsibly.

Material Handler

The Material Handler safely operates a forklift to move products between departments and from production to shipping, supporting efficient inventory flow and order fulfillment on first shift.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift safely and efficiently to move materials between production, inventory, and shipping areas.
  • Load, unload, and transport product and materials throughout the facility as needed.
  • Support picking activities by locating, retrieving, and staging materials for production and shipping.

Work Environment

This role is based in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing facility, where work takes place around production, inventory, and shipping operations. Team members operate forklifts and handle materials in an active industrial setting, following safety procedures and working collaboratively with other departments on a first shift schedule.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
