Job Title: Material Handler Job Description

Join a dynamic team where you will be responsible for operating both stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts, handling shipping and receiving tasks using USPS and FedEx computer systems, and picking orders in the warehouse. You will be engaged in various tasks to ensure efficient warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate both stand‑up and sit‑down forklifts efficiently.


• Perform shipping and receiving tasks using USPS and FedEx computer systems.


• Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.


• Handle inventory management tasks and maintain organization within the warehouse.


• Utilize pallet jacks and cherry pickers as required.


• Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped accurately and on time.


• Unload shipments and organize incoming goods.


• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Essential Skills

• Proficient in operating forklifts, including both stand‑up and sit‑down types.


• Experience with material handling and inventory management.


• Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes, especially using UPS WorldShip, FedEx, LTL, and Ship Manager.


• Basic computer skills for handling shipping software.


• Ability to work efficiently and safely in a fast‑paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Training will be provided for shipping processes; however, basic knowledge is preferred.


• Experience with warehouse inventory tasks is a plus.

Work Environment

The work hours are from 8:15 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The warehouse is well‑organized but can get hot, so comfortable attire is recommended. The facility is clean and well‑maintained, fostering a productive work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Warwick, RI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
