Aerotek is hiring for a Warehouse role in Cypress, TX. The position focuses on forklift operation, inventory control, and order fulfillment in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
The role requires experience with ERP systems and RF scanners, ability to handle shipping documentation, and a willingness to work the 2nd shift with possible overtime on weekends.
Receive and count stock items, ensuring quantities and descriptions match packing lists and purchase orders.
Stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to maintain clear and accurate product identification.
Store items in warehouse, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other designated areas in an organized and efficient manner.
Run inventory reports and use ERP systems and RF scanners to maintain accurate inventory records and support cycle counting activities.
Dispatch parts and record all inventory movements to keep inventory levels updated and correct.
Inspect incoming parts and materials for damage, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications, and accurately document any issues.
Verify the accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments, including quantities, part numbers, and shipping documentation.
Prepare work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to support outbound shipments and internal material movements.
Issue tools, equipment, and supplies to team members, ensuring proper tracking and documentation of issued items.
Clean supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to maintain a safe, orderly, and efficient work environment.
Report broken or damaged tools and equipment promptly so that repairs or replacements can be arranged.
Load and unload materials using a sit-down forklift in a safe and compliant manner.
Operate an overhead crane when required to move heavy or oversized materials.
Perform order pulling and picking to support production and shipping requirements.
Support shipping and receiving functions as needed, including labeling, staging, and organizing materials.
Work assigned 2nd shift hours and remain flexible to work weekends and overtime as business needs require.
At least 2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
Proficiency with ERP systems and RF scanners for inventory tracking and data entry.
Hands-on experience with order pulling and picking in a distribution or manufacturing setting.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment with established safety and quality procedures.
Ability to safely operate a sit-down forklift for loading, unloading, and material movement.
Ability to accurately count, record, and verify inventory using manual and electronic tools.
Strong attention to detail when inspecting parts for damage, shortages, and nonconformance.
Capability to prepare and handle shipping documentation such as work orders and bills of lading.
Basic computer literacy to run inventory reports and navigate ERP systems.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures.
Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift materials as required in a warehouse environment.
Heavy forklift experience, including operating equipment up to approximately 36,000-pound capacity.
Experience operating reach trucks in a warehouse or distribution setting.
Experience using cherry pickers for high-level order picking and inventory tasks.
Prior experience operating overhead cranes to move heavy or bulky materials.
Shipping and receiving operations within a manufacturing or industrial facility.
Familiarity with cycle counting processes and inventory control best practices.
Comfort working on a 2nd shift schedule and adjusting to overtime when needed.

The role is based in a climate-controlled manufacturing environment designed for comfort and safety. Team members work primarily on 2nd shift from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM, with the potential to work until 2:30 AM when overtime is required. The standard schedule runs Monday through Friday, and employees must remain open to weekends and overtime as needed to meet production and shipping demands. The facility offers multiple openings, including positions focused on order picking and cycle counting and roles requiring heavy forklift operation. Work involves regular use of forklifts, ERP systems, RF scanners, and, when needed, overhead cranes, with an emphasis on maintaining clean storage areas, organized inventory, and adherence to safety procedures.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cypress, TX.
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
