Job summary

Aerotek in Olathe, KS is seeking a Material Handler to support our warehouse operations. You will perform picking, packing, inventory control, cycle counting, and logging items, using pallet jacks and hand carts to move materials and build crates for shipments.

This contract-to-hire role offers daytime hours, Monday through Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm, in a climate-controlled facility with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of warehousing experience.
• Comfortable operating sit-down forklifts.
• Capable of handling inventory and performing cycle counts efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Execute general warehouse tasks including picking, stacking, racking, stocking, boxing, moving, organizing, cleaning, and sweeping.
• Perform dock work and manage shipping and receiving processes.
• Maintain inventory control through cycle counting, stocking, tracking, replenishment, and labeling.
• Follow work orders and ensure accurate inventory management.
• Conduct crating and packing activities such as measuring, cutting, wrapping, insulating, foam wrapping, bubble wrapping, and plastic wrapping.
• Pack parts of kits securely for truck-proof shipping.

Job Title: Material Handler

Job Description

The Material Handler plays a crucial role in our warehouse operations, performing duties akin to those of a Warehouse Clerk. This role requires flexibility and adaptability as each order may vary based on customer needs. You will engage in tasks such as picking and pulling kits, inventory control through cycle counting, and logging items using software. Additionally, you will operate tools like pallet jacks and hand-carts to move materials and build crates for international shipments. Responsibilities

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Olathe, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $19.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
