Material Handler II

Job Description

This role is responsible for the safe receiving, inspection, movement, tracking, storage, and shipment of custom‑made servers and components in a regulated warehouse environment. The Material Handler II reviews product and process documents, ensures accurate processing, and uses an MRP or ERP system to maintain precise inventory records. The position supports production operations, may help train other material handlers, and provides feedback to improve workflow and efficiency while consistently adhering to quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities
  • Perform the safe receiving, inspection, movement, tracking, storage, and shipment of custom‑made servers and components.
  • Review and follow product and process documents and instructions to ensure accurate and compliant processing.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and organized work area and perform all material handling activities in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Process product documentation accurately, implement appropriate corrective actions when needed, and use an MRP or ERP system to enter and retrieve accurate data.
  • Maintain product inventory by receiving, identifying, labeling, and storing products within the warehouse in accordance with established processes and procedures.
  • Ensure timely shipment of products to meet shipping deadlines and maintain clear communication and updates with internal facility staff.
  • Adhere to ISO procedures, Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Lean principles in all daily activities.
  • Work with safety, efficiency, and accuracy as constant priorities, ensuring quality and safety standards are continuously followed.
  • Support the production team as needed by providing materials and assisting with related logistics activities.
  • Report events and activities that fall outside normal parameters to the appropriate person or Team Lead and assist in resolving issues within operational and safety guidelines.
  • Provide constructive feedback and suggestions for workflow and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform warehouse tasks such as picking, pulling, put‑away, packaging, shipping, and receiving in a regulated environment.
Essential Skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in shipping and receiving.
  • At least 2 years of experience in material handling, including processing and documentation.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of warehousing experience in a regulated environment such as FDA, ISO, or GMP.
  • Hands‑on experience with warehouse processes such as picking, pulling, put‑away, packaging, shipping, and receiving.
  • Ability to accurately process product documentation and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ability to maintain accurate inventory records, including receiving, identifying, labeling, and storing products.
  • Experience working with MRP or ERP systems to enter and retrieve data (Oracle experience preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail when handling delicate and high‑value products.
  • Ability to follow ISO procedures, Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and Lean principles.
  • Commitment to working safely, efficiently, and accurately in a warehouse environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Any warehousing experience in FDA, ISO, GDP, or Lean environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Oracle or similar MRP/ERP systems is highly desirable.
  • Experience supporting production teams in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
  • Ability to provide feedback and ideas for workflow and process improvements.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal facility staff and Team Leads.
  • Capability to assist in training other material handlers as needed.

Work Environment

The role is based in a warehouse on a larger campus, where the immediate work area is relatively small but highly organized and focused on handling delicate and expensive products. The position follows an alternative work schedule, with a shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Work is performed in a regulated environment that aligns with FDA, ISO, GMP, GDP, and Lean principles, requiring strict adherence to documented procedures and quality standards. Employees regularly use MRP or ERP systems, such as Oracle, to manage inventory and documentation. The setting emphasizes careful handling, accuracy, and attention to detail, with a strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and maintaining an orderly workspace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of RICHMOND, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
