Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Materials/Logistics Engineer to optimize material flow, packaging, inventory and logistics in a manufacturing setting. You will lead lean initiatives, design line-side presentations and warehouse layouts, and collaborate across supply chain teams to improve processes.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, 3+ years in materials/logistics, and experience with SAP/PLM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Packaging, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• 3+ years of experience in materials, logistics, packaging, or supply chain engineering.
• 2+ years of experience with material flow and packaging systems.
• 2+ years of experience with data analytics and project management.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design material flows, picking routes, line-side presentation, and warehouse layouts.
• Develop and implement packaging solutions (reusable and expendable).
• Lead Kanban, replenishment, and inventory optimization initiatives.
• Manage container, rack, and packaging fleets, including maintenance and capital planning.
• Implement reverse logistics programs for returnable containers and racks.
• Support NPI launches and production ramp-ups.
• Collaborate with suppliers to design, source, and deploy packaging solutions.
• Create and maintain packaging standards, work instructions, and best practices.
• Analyze operational data and drive continuous improvement projects.
• Partner with Production, Safety, Engineering, Procurement, and Logistics teams.
• Participate in Kaizen events and Lean initiatives.
