Job summary

Adient is seeking an Advanced Industrial Engineer specializing in material flow automation to drive Lean and standard labor analyses. You will mentor plant and COE IEs, support automated and manual material replenishment design, and lead the rollout of best practices across the organization.

You will evaluate future material flow from dock to use, provide training, and maintain critical documentation. Travel to plant sites will be required as part of ongoing improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in high-volume order fulfillment or distribution.

Responsibilities

• Mentor plant and COE IEs.
• Provide technical support for material flow best practices and automation.
• Develop and analyze future program material flow from dock to point of use.
• Support evaluation and updates to current materials standards.
• Provide training and leadership to plant teams on material flow standards.
• Maintain central database for layouts, labor tools, and lean manufacturing docs.
• Provide labor roadmaps and support future manufacturing footprint decisions.
• Collaborate with automation team on material handling operations.
