Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. is seeking a warehouse/material control professional to coordinate incoming materials, perform stockroom duties, and support production schedules. The role includes counting, weighing, logging, and processing orders, with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.

The position is 2nd shift (12 pm–9:30 pm). Requires forklift experience and ability to work extended hours as needed; strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in production/material control.
• Understanding of material control concepts and stockroom procedures.
• Customer-focused with ability to identify deviations and analyze data.
• Experience operating forklifts and material-handling equipment in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• Experience shipping/receiving, loading/unloading, verifying shipments, and organizing materials.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor inventory and work orders; ensure traceability of material and/or parts.
• Coordinate with departments to support materials requirements.
• Restock inventory on shop floor to maintain appropriate levels.
• Update movement of parts; inform relevant personnel about back orders.
• Deliver materials to designated production areas.
• Review material requisitions to ensure proper allocation.
• Conduct physical inventories; report discrepancies.
• Inspect items received; verify conformance to procedures.
• Transfer vendor paperwork; ensure damaged/excess goods are processed appropriately.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with laws and company policies.
• Observe safe operating procedures and participate in continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as required.
