Job summary

General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Material Control Coordinator for our Adelanto, California facility. You will coordinate incoming materials, monitor inventory, and support production through precise stock management and timely material movements.

Responsibilities include verifying receipts, coordinating with QA and Purchasing on returns, and maintaining accurate inventory records to ensure production continuity. This is a full-time, on-site role with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2+ years in production/material control/shipping/receiving/inventory control recommended.
• Understanding of stock room and inventory control practices in a large stock room environment.
• Experience with inventory/stock control software to track and report inventory levels.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate receipt of incoming materials and verify against vendor documents and purchase orders.
• Monitor inventory and work orders; ensure traceability of material and parts.
• Coordinate with departments to support materials requirements; monitor shop floor stock levels.
• Update daily movement of parts and report backorders of critical materials.
• Deliver materials to designated production areas and engineering projects.
• Review requisitions for proper allocation and storage impact on production.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and report obsolete or excess stock; investigate shortages or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with QA and Purchasing on return of defective parts for repair or replacement.
• Process vendor paperwork and ensure damaged or excess goods are handled appropriately.
• Coordinate with safety on disposal of hazardous materials.
