Job summary

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a Part-time Medication Dispensing Nurse for the ARTS Adult Outpatient Program. The role involves collecting samples, administering medications (Methadone, Suboxone, Naltrexone, Antabuse, and injectable naltrexone), and supporting clinical operations across ARTS locations in Denver, Arvada, and Aurora.

Hours are 5:00am–5:30pm, with potential Saturday shifts up to 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two years nursing, nursing assistance, dispensing medication, and/or related experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid LPN or RN license with Colorado DORA.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients for appropriateness of treatment.
• Assess patients' needs for physical exams and report observations to physicians/counselors.
• Administer medications such as Methadone, Suboxone, Naltrexone, Antabuse, and long-acting injectable naltrexone.
• Transport narcotic medications following DEA/state/federal rules and ARTS policies.
• Monitor vital signs and health condition of patients.
• Draw blood for analysis/labs and administer TB tests.
