MAT/Behavioral Health Specialist
Must Haves: Must have a certification in either Certified Addiction and other Drug Counselor (CADC), Mentally Ill Substance Abuser, (MISA) or Medication Assisted Addiction Treatment Professional (MAATP) Certification. Experience with case management, patient navigation, or medical care coordination, and Bachelors degree in Social work, Psychology, Public Health, or related field.
Hours: 40 hours per week, normal business hours, onsite
Contract Duration: contract-to-hire

Position Summary:
This dual-role position combines responsibilities in both research support and direct patient care. Under the guidance of the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Medical Director and Program Coordinator, the MAT Specialist will contribute to a NIDA-funded randomized controlled study—CHOICES—while also delivering direct services within the MAT Clinic.
The MAT Specialist will primarily support the CHOICES research project, which focuses on substance-using individuals living with HIV, by recruiting, screening, enrolling, and retaining participants from an outpatient clinical setting. This role requires adherence to both research protocols and clinical standards, as well as effective collaboration with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
