Job summary

Pennsylvania Counseling Services (PCS) in Harrisburg, PA seeks a Masters Level Family Counselor (FBMHP) to deliver intensive, community-based family therapy to children, adolescents, and families with complex needs.

You will work within the Family Based Mental Health program, using ESFT and receiving employer-paid training leading to certification, along with supervision for licensure and ongoing clinical growth.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children and/or families in a CASSP-related program.
• Volunteer and internship experience count toward experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic interventions, crisis response, and case management to help families navigate mental health challenges
• Work closely with parents and caregivers to strengthen family relationships and develop effective behavioral strategies for their children
• Deliver community-based family therapy in home, school, and community locations
• Partner with a Bachelor’s-level Mental Health Worker to provide services to up to 8 families at a time
• Participate in weekly supervision, including group and team supervision, for clinical support and growth
• Receive on-call crisis consultation and participate in a rotating on-call schedule when needed
