Job summary

The well recognized leader in the Masterbatch Market is seeking a Business Development Representative to expand its polymer additives, color concentrates, and compounds business. You will sell directly to film manufacturers and compounders, with flexibility to pursue nationwide opportunities from a home office in the US Midwest region and travel extensively for customer trials.

You will identify new customers, build an active pipeline, and drive opportunities from first contact through product

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; 3+ years sales experience in masterbatch or related fields.
• 7–10 years experience acceptable without degree for masterbatch sales.
• Experience selling to film manufacturers and compounders is valuable.
• Technical experience with masterbatch, polymer additives, color concentrates, or compounds.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work from a home office.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect, and develop new customers for masterbatch, additives, color concentrates, and compounds.
• Build a qualified pipeline focused on PE- and PP-based applications.
• Lead opportunities from initial contact through trials, qualification, and launch.
• Identify opportunities in additional end markets and processing applications.
• Collaborate with technical, manufacturing, and management teams to develop solutions.
• Negotiate business with management and meet sales, volume, and profitability goals.
• Maintain forecasts, pipeline information, and sales activity reports.
• Travel extensively to build relationships and support trials.
