Job summary

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) seeks a Master Trainer Program Specialist to design and deliver engaging training programs for facility-level Master Trainers. You will collaborate with subject matter experts to align curricula with adult learning principles and state guidelines.

The role requires strong instructional design skills, experience delivering live and virtual sessions, and the ability to create compelling training materials.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in English, instructional design, education, human resources, organizational development, or related field is preferred.
• At least 2 years’ experience as a trainer or instructional designer.
• Experience and education may be substituted year-for-year.

Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, develops, and manages engaging training programs for facility-level Master Trainers, coordinating schedules and logistics.
• Designs and develops instructor-led and computer-based training content and revises curricula to meet objectives using adult learning principles.
• Delivers high-quality instructor-led training sessions in person, virtually, or in a hybrid setting with effective classroom management.
• Collaborates with subject matter experts to formulate learning objectives and create instructional content based on feedback.
• Creates visually appealing training materials including graphics, videos, and interactive elements.
• Participates in evaluating training; focuses on continuous improvement.
