Job summary

Health & Human Services Commission is seeking a Training Specialist II to design, deliver, and evaluate competency-based training for facility staff at Brenham State Supported Living Center. You will develop curricula, conduct New Hire Orientation, refresher trainings, and ongoing education to ensure staff meet required competencies.

Responsibilities include maintaining training records, serving as a Master Trainer when needed, and collaborating with the Facility Competency Training Department

Qualifications

• Knowledge of training procedures/techniques and adult education principles.
• Ability to apply curricula and learning objectives.
• Experience in delivering competency-based training to adults.

Responsibilities

• Plans, organizes, and conducts training classes in group or computer lab settings.
• Evaluates staff competencies and maintains training records.
• Develops curriculum materials including multimedia presentations.
• Trains new employees and provides post-orientation training.
