Job Description
We are opening a new car dealership in Tampa, FL, and are seeking a Master Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain service operations by inspecting and maintaining vehicles.
- Ensure equipment availability by inspecting and testing vehicles, completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotations and changes, wheel balancing, filter replacements, brake replacements, spark plugs, wheel bearings, fuel systems, and sensors.
- Test systems and individual parts to ensure proper functioning and evaluate damage.
- Maintain vehicle functionality by addressing operator complaints, conducting inspections, repairing engine failures, and fixing mechanical and electrical system malfunctions, including replacing parts and components.
- Verify vehicle serviceability through test drives and adjustments of controls and systems.
- Comply with state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards.
- Maintain vehicle records by documenting services and repairs.
- Keep shop equipment operational by following instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Manage costs effectively by utilizing warranties and evaluating service and parts options.
- Enhance knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
- Support organizational goals by completing related tasks as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
