Pay Rate: $40.00-52.00/hour*

POSITION SUMMARY:

This role involves maintenance and repair of customer equipment. The technician is trained in at least two skill sets, maintains high productivity, holds three of four CFESA certifications, and participates in on-call rotation. Leadership qualities are required to mentor and train others.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Adhere to safety policies and wear personal protective equipment.
  2. Troubleshoot and repair gas, electric, water, refrigeration, and steam-powered commercial kitchen and HVAC equipment.
  3. Use a tablet to document tasks such as parts orders, work orders, and timesheets promptly.
  4. Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and status updates.
  5. Use proper tools, including hand and power tools, for repairs.
  6. Monitor truck stock to ensure necessary parts are available.
  7. Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms.
  8. Work independently with minimal supervision.
  9. Participate in scheduled weekend/holiday on-call rotations and work overtime as needed.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Obtain correct part numbers from the branch parts personnel.
  2. Collect payments on COD jobs.
  3. Contribute to branch goals for response time and first-time fix rates.
  4. Engage in training to enhance skills and knowledge.
  5. Perform other duties as assigned.
CONTACTS:
  • Internal: Daily contact with branch staff; occasional contact with corporate staff.
  • External: Frequent contact with customers; occasional contact with manufacturers for warranty issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Successful background check and drug screening required.
  • Valid driver’s license meeting safety standards.
  • Minimum one year of relevant experience.
  • CFESA Master Technician with at least three of four CFESA certifications.
