Job Summary

The part-time Field Service Technician provides technical assistance and instructions to customers and owners of Hydro equipment in installation, maintenance, and operation of wastewater and wet weather products.

Job Location

This is a remote position; candidates must live within 50 miles of Melbourne, FL.

Job Responsibilities

• Work closely with customer service, project engineers, sales, management, and other team members to ensure professional service.
• Facilitate installation, start-up, and maintenance of Hydro's products, increasing customer knowledge.
• Supervise field installations as needed.
• Provide technical advice, assistance, and training to customers.
• Inspect Hydro's products in fabrication and in the field.
• Evaluate vendor products and develop standards for performance enhancement.
• Identify areas for product improvement or new product needs in collaboration with sales and engineering.
• Maintain relationships with customers regarding field service matters.
• Assist sales and customer service teams with technical expertise to promote products and services.
• Support pilot programs with technical and mechanical services.
• Perform or assist with field performance testing.
• Maintain logs of site visits and generate reports with photos.
• Adhere to BS EN ISO 9001 standards within your responsibilities.
• Ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance for yourself and projects.
• This is a part-time role, working less than 30 hours per week.

Job Requirements

• A degree in a technical field is preferred; relevant work experience may substitute.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, knowledge of electronics and electrical systems, and excellent communication skills.
• At least three years of shop or field experience with similar equipment.
• Self-sufficient, problem solver, effective time and resource manager.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb stairs.
• Ability to sit at a desk/computer for extended periods with breaks.
• Willingness to travel up to 75% in North America and abroad.
