Job summary

TIC - The Industrial Company in Mississippi seeks a skilled pipefitter to plan, lay out, install, test and repair piping systems in accordance with plans and industry standards. The role requires reading isometric drawings, fabricating and installing piping, and ensuring joints are secure by welding and threading as specified.

You will work on construction sites, operate beveling machines, grinders, pipe threaders, torches and other tools, move materials safely, and maintain awareness of safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior field experience preferred.
• NCCER Plus certification is a plus.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions.
• Willingness to pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing and fit for duty medical.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of piping types and joints (butt, socket, threaded, Victaulic, grooved, glued, fused).
• Read isometric drawings, take measurements, fabricate and install piping efficiently.
• Align, bolt, and clamp components for welding and secure in position.
• Assemble and secure pipes, fittings, and equipment via welding and threading.
• Position materials during install and follow plans/specifications.
• Inspect work for contract compliance and correct deficiencies.
