Job summary

Rheem’s Water Heating Division in Montgomery, AL seeks a Master Mechanic with electrical expertise to lead maintenance for plant machinery and facilities. The role includes engineering leadership in preventive maintenance and equipment changes to sustain quality and production targets.

The successful candidate will oversee maintenance foremen, plan complex production processes and collaborate with other plants on improvements.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years Industrial Maintenance work experience.
Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred.
Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and repair procedures.
Proficiency with a PC and Maintenance software; able to use MS Office.
Able to use and explain hand tools, power tools and measuring devices (Calipers, Micrometers, Multimeter).
Must be able to operate a forklift and related lift equipment.

Responsibilities

Supervise the maintenance foremen across shifts.
Develop and enforce departmental procedures and policies.
Interpret specifications and engineering drawings; share information as required.
Coordinate work between plants/departments to promote cooperation.
Act as a resource to other plants within the division.
Plan and ensure availability of materials and tools for maintenance schedules.
Control costs, schedules, safety, housekeeping and equipment for maintenance.
