Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Master Mechanic to repair a wide range of vehicle makes and models, including warranty work, with minimal supervision. You’ll diagnose engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, HVAC, and onboard computers, and may serve as a technical resource to raise shop performance.

Based in Honolulu, this on-site role requires a valid driver’s license, 3+ years of professional auto repair experience, continuous ASE certifications, and a complete tool set.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of professional auto repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum 3), with the ability to acquire 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Strong knowledge across ASE areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, and Engine Performance.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex automotive repairs, including warranty work.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust systems, brakes, electrical systems, A/C, and onboard computer systems.
• Serve as a technical resource for other technicians and share best practices to support shop performance.
• Ensure vehicles are ready when customers need them and maintain safety standards.
