Job summary

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Master Mechanic in Lihue, Hawaii, to diagnose and repair vehicles across multiple brands, including warranty work. You’ll ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and ready for customers, with opportunity to guide other technicians.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license, at least 3 years of professional auto repair experience, current ASE certifications (minimum 3) with ability to obtain 2 more in the first year, and strong ASE knowledge.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License is required.
• Minimum 3 years of professional auto repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3) with ability to acquire 2 additional ASE certifications within the first year.
• Strong knowledge across ASE areas including Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, HVAC, and Engine Performance.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a mechanical shop with moderate to loud noise levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex automotive repairs, including warranty work, on a wide range of vehicle makes and models with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust, brakes, electrical systems, A/C, and onboard computers.
• Serve as a technical resource for other technicians and support shop performance.
