Job summary

Avis Budget Group in Honolulu, Hawaii is seeking a Master Mechanic to diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicles across brands. You will perform standard and complex repairs, including warranty work, with minimal supervision.

You’ll diagnose engines, transmissions, exhaust, brakes, electrical, and onboard computer systems on newer fleet vehicles. The role includes mentoring peers and ensuring vehicles are safe and ready for customers.

Qualifications

• 3 years of professional auto repair experience.
• Current ASE certifications (minimum of 3), with ability to acquire 2 more within the first year.
• Strong knowledge across ASE areas: Engine Repair, Drivetrain/Axles, Suspension/Steering, Brakes, Electrical, Heating/Air Conditioning, Engine Performance (Light Vehicle/Diesel).
• Must have a complete set of tools for automotive repair and maintenance.
• Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard and complex automotive repairs, including warranty work, on a wide range of makes and models.
• Diagnose and repair engines, transmissions, exhaust, brakes, electrical, A/C, and onboard computer systems.
• Serve as a technical resource for other technicians and share best practices to support shop performance.
• Ensure vehicles are safe, reliable, and available for customers.
