Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Redmond, WA is seeking a Meat Cutter to perform cutting, preparation, display, and selling of meat products. Qualifications

• 14+ months of retail experience.
• Completed Whole Foods Market Butcher Apprentice Program, or an equivalent training program.

Responsibilities

• Cuts, platters, and merchandises meat products.
• Prepares specialty meat merchandise.
• Ensures products meet quality standards.
• Maintains sampling program.
• Monitors spoilage and waste prevention.
• Mentors Meat Cutter Trainee(s).
• Arrives on time, well groomed, and ready to work.
• Provides excellent customer service and uses suggestive selling.
• Maximizes sales through proper prep, storing, and merchandising.
• Follows health, safety, and Weights & Measures procedures.
• Keeps a clean, sanitary work area and equipment.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties; verifies signs and pricing.
• Reports safety hazards immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
