Job summary

The Bartolotta Restaurants are seeking a dedicated cook to join our Milwaukee-area team. You will prepare menu items according to established recipes, ensure sauces, pastas, and grilled items meet quality standards, and set up the workstation with daily inventory to our chefs’ specifications.

As part of a family-run hospitality group, you will contribute to a fast-paced kitchen, maintain high standards of cleanliness, and support senior culinary staff with prep work and line duties.

Qualifications

• Able to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Basic understanding of sanitation and workplace safety regulations.
• Basic understanding of food-handling techniques and cooking procedures.
• Able to work efficiently and quickly.
• Must work well as part of a team.
• Must work well under pressure.
• Ability to maintain personal cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Prepares menu items according to standard recipes, plate presentations and specifications in a timely manner.
• Responsible for sauces, pastas, and grilled food items.
• Sets up workstation according to station diagram and daily product inventory to Chef's standards.
• Completes all assigned prep work to Chefs standards.
• Maintains product presentation, product quality and cook time standards.
• Assists in maintaining a safe working environment.
• Present professional demeanor in attire, language, and attitude.
• All Other Duties as Assigned
