Job summary
KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing is seeking an experienced Master Lead Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support the DC/MD market. You will diagnose and repair a broad range of commercial HVAC systems, lead troubleshooting, and manage preventive maintenance for a portfolio of customers.
Qualified candidates bring 8+ years of experience, Maryland Master HVAC, EPA certification, and a track record mentoring technicians.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of commercial HVAC service experience with rooftop units, VRF, boilers, pumps, towers, VFDs and controls.
- Maryland Master HVAC certification is required.
- Experience mentoring, training, and developing HVAC technicians in the field.
- Ability to scope, estimate, and execute commercial HVAC repair, replacement, and retrofit projects.
- Manufacturer training from Trane, Carrier, York/JCI, Daikin, or similar is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair commercial HVAC equipment including RTUs, VRF, heat pumps, boilers, pumps, towers, chillers, VFDs and controls.
- Lead troubleshooting and serve as a technical resource for fellow technicians.
- Manage preventive maintenance and service activities across assigned customer accounts.
- Mentor and support junior technicians to develop technical and troubleshooting skills.
- Create clear service reports and communicate findings to customers.
