Job summary

Travis County’s Facilities Management Department is seeking a licensed Master Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across county facilities. Lead crews, develop preventive maintenance plans, and ensure safety and code compliance.

The role requires a valid Texas license, strong troubleshooting skills, and willingness to work PM/overnight shifts, including some weekends and holidays to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• Master Electrician License required.
• Texas Driver's License required.
• Background check (CJIS) required.
• Flexible schedule including PMs, overnights, weekends, and holidays may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Responds to system repair requests.
• Inspects, maintains and repairs electrical systems and components.
• Provides training/leadership to crews on electrical projects.
• Plans preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems.
• Tests, calibrates and repairs electrical equipment and controls.
• Obtains building permits for new systems as needed.
