Travis County is seeking a licensed journey electrician to install, maintain and repair electrical circuits and systems across county facilities. The role includes preventive maintenance and safety compliance in line with building codes.

The position requires a Texas Journeyman license within six months of hire, a valid driver’s license, background checks, and the ability to work PM/overnight shifts as needed. Location: Various Travis County facilities.

• Knowledge of electrical codes and procedures.
• Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
• Experience with standard electrical tools and test equipment.
• Strong communication and writing skills.
• Ability to work in teams and independently.
• Capable of estimating time and materials.

Responsabilités

• Responds to system repair requests.
• Inspects, maintains and repairs electrical systems.
• Develops routine maintenance schedules.
• Inspects motors and generators.
• Estimates time and material needs.
• Obtains necessary building permits.
• Operates test equipment and performs tests.
• Works flexible shifts as needed.
