Ryder in Sterling, Virginia is seeking a permanent full-time Master Level Diesel Technician to support our truck fleet. Hourly pay is $42.50 with a $2,500 sign-on at 30 days and another $2,500 at 90 days, plus quarterly bonuses up to $500 and a $100 certification bonus per ASE cert up to $700.

Typical hours are 10:00 am to 7:30 pm, Monday–Friday, weekends off. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, and training. EEO/AA/Female/Minority/Disabled/Veteran.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines.
• Routine preventative maintenance like oil changes, brake and tire work.
• Diagnostics and repairs incl. AC, electrical systems.
• Major engine repairs and diesel aftertreatment work.
• 4+ years relevant work experience preferred.
• Read codes and instructions on computer.
• Microsoft Word/Excel and internet proficiency.
• Must have minimum tool requirement.
• Maintenance computerized programs to create reports.

Responsabilités

• Assist and train technicians as needed; provide customer service and feedback to the Service Manager.
• Oversee parts distribution, shop reporting, warranty recovery, unit tracking, payroll administration and other duties as assigned by Supervisor/Manager.
