Job summary

Ryder is hiring a Mid-Level Diesel Technician in Manassas, Virginia. You will perform vehicle maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty equipment, using state-of-the-art diagnostics and tools, and interact with drivers to determine issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Technical certifications preferred.
• Valid CDL Class A preferred.
• Must be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs vehicle maintenance and repair duties.
• Performs standard vehicle maintenance.
• Performs standard component inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventive maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic problems using diagnostic computer when applicable.
• Interacts with customers/drivers to determine nature of complaint.
• Uses Shop Management System and electronic documentation.
• Follows safety, DOT, MOT and company guidelines.
