Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Vocational or Technical Certification post secondary degree or technical certifications, preferred.
• Basic tools, required.
• Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines including routine maintenance, diagnostics and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and diagnostics.
• Handle complex repairs with minimal supervision.
• Use diagnostic computers/software to troubleshoot issues.
• Coach/mentor other technicians.
• Ensure compliance with safety and DOT guidelines.
• Road test vehicles as necessary.
• Operate shop management system and document maintenance actions.
