Job summary

US Foods seeks a Manager of Master Data Management to lead the organization’s MDM function, overseeing data governance, quality, and standards across items, vendors, pricing, and locations. You will manage a team of analysts and partner with IT and business leaders to drive data quality and strategic improvements.

The role is hybrid with three onsite days per week, located in Rosemont, IL or West Linn, OR, and involves collaboration with merchandising, supply chain, finance, and e-commerce teams

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in master data management, data governance, or retail data operations.
• 2+ years of experience leading analysts or data professionals.
• Strong understanding of retail master data domains and governance.
• Experience with ERP, MDM, or PIM systems managing item, vendor, pricing, or location data.
• Ability to translate business requirements into data standards and governance workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own the master data management function and roadmap for the organization.
• Define master data standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Ensure alignment of data strategy with retail operations and business objectives.
• Lead data governance, stewardship, and approval workflows.
• Monitor data quality metrics and KPIs across systems.
• Collaborate with Merchandising, Supply Chain, Finance, Store Ops, Marketing and E‑commerce.
• Oversee data processes within ERP, MDM, and PIM platforms.
• Support system implementations, upgrades, and data migrations.
• Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency and data quality.
