Chimera Enterprises International, Inc. (Chimera) seeks a Master Course Approval Subject Matter Expert to support the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center.

The role evaluates mariner training courses, sites, and instructors for compliance with 46 CFR parts, NVICs, MSM, and international standards, producing formal recommendations. The position requires extensive knowledge of maritime regulations, exceptional written communication, and the ability to work independently to meet monthly

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of maritime regulations and Coast Guard policy.
• Exceptional written communication for formal government responses.
• Strong analytical ability to evaluate complex training materials.
• Ability to work independently while meeting monthly production targets.
• Experience in developing or designing maritime training courses (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate maritime training provider courses for conformance to 46 CFR Parts 10, 11, 12 and MSM.
• Draft formal recommendations and updates for government reviews.
• Maintain a high volume of quality evaluations (min 20 approvals per month).
• Attend mandatory two-week orientation at the National Maritime Center in Martinsburg, WV and additional training as required.
