Job summary

Chimera Enterprises International is seeking an experienced Master Course Approval Subject Matter Expert (Top-Level Engine Mariner) to support the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center Mariner Credentialing Program in Martinsburg, WV.

The successful candidate will evaluate engineering training courses, training sites, and instructors for conformance with 46 CFR Parts 10–12, NVIC 01-26, the Marine Safety Manual (MSM), and related standards, drafting formal recommendations and supporting

Qualifications

Advanced understanding of maritime engineering regulations and Coast Guard policies.
Excellent written communication for official correspondence and technical recommendations.
Strong analytical skills to assess complex engineering training materials for regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Evaluate maritime engineering training provider courses, curricula, training sites and instructors for conformity with 46 CFR Parts 10, 11 and 12 and related policies.
Formulate recommendations for the Coast Guard and draft formal responses for government reviews.
Maintain a high volume of quality evaluations.
Participate in mandatory two-week training/orientation at NMC in Martinsburg, WV and any additional onsite training.
