Qualifications

• Knowledge of 46 CFR Parts 10, 11, and 12.
• Ability to draft formal government responses.
• Experience evaluating training provider courses.
• Access to Security Sensitive Information and favorable suitability for USCG involvement.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate basic maritime training programs for compliance with 46 CFR Parts 10, 11 and 12 and related policies.
• Formulate recommendations for the Coast Guard and draft formal responses during government reviews.
• Maintain a high volume of quality evaluations (minimum 25 course approvals per month).
• Participate in a two-week training/orientation at the National Maritime Center (NMC) in Martinsburg, WV, and any requested on-site training.
