Job summary

VIP, Inc. is seeking a Flat Rate Technician to diagnose and repair automotive systems, perform maintenance, and ensure work is completed right the first time.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and adherence to VIP processes to deliver superior customer service. The technician will follow all safety policies, complete required LMS training, and pursue ASE certifications (G1, A4, A5) as part of ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to diagnose and repair automotive systems.
• Completion of two-year college or technical program recommended; equivalent experience acceptable.
• ASE certifications appropriate to position as listed (G1, A4, A5 recommended).
• State Vehicle Inspector license and TI A/B certifications encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Perform automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance per ASE standards.
• Ensure Service Work Order is initiated and displayed during service.
• Complete all required safety and training; follow VIP policies and procedures.
• Handle parts procurement from Desk Team and return unused parts.
• Maintain shop safety, cleanliness, and proper disposal of waste materials.
