Job Description

Essential Functions:

1. Offer the highest level of personalized service while maintaining a positive, enthusiastic, helpful, and professional attitude with all guests and team members.
2. Initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.
3. Administer expert massage and body treatments for various purposes and needs within the specified time frame.
4. Provide consistent professional treatments as directed in training classes and accepted certification practices.
5. Properly care for equipment and products used.
6. Communicate and describe spa offerings clearly and articulately.
7. Compare and contrast different services on the menu.
8. Recommend and upsell services at the spa facility on property.
9. Handle guest questions and concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
10. Respond to guest requests immediately, accurately, and appropriately.
11. Understand the importance of and be committed to continuing education.
12. Work unsupervised for extended periods.
13. Uphold all protocols for set-up and cleanliness of treatment rooms.
14. Maintain a healthy appearance and positive attitude as a representative of the Spa.
15. Maintain a clean, safe, stocked, and well-organized work area, including extensive in-between client cleaning procedures.
16. Maintain the spa's appearance, cleanliness, and ability to work entire shifts while wearing a mask as directed.
17. Be comfortable around guests who may be in a state of undress.
18. Perform other tasks as assigned by the Manager or Assistant Manager.
19. Troubleshoot and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

1. Regular attendance is essential for the successful performance of the position.
2. Varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, may be required based on the needs of the facility.
3. Must comply with rules and regulations for the safe and effective operation of the facility.
4. Maintain a friendly, pleasant, and professional demeanor and appearance at all times.

Qualifications

1. Two years of massage therapy experience at a resort or high-level country club.
2. Proper training and certifications for provided services (must produce certifications upon hire).
3. High school diploma.
4. Experience in administering treatments to male and female guests professionally.
5. Understand and follow Blood Borne Pathogen procedures.
6. Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English.
7. Ability to stand up to 9 hours per day; tasks may vary in duration.
8. Able to lift 15 lbs occasionally.
9. Ability to work entire shift while wearing a mask.
10. Require grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening, hearing, and visual acuity.
11. Must operate office equipment such as computers, online booking platforms, printers, and radios.
