POSITION: TABLE GAMES DEALER – Part Time

DEPARTMENT: TABLE GAMES

REPORTS TO: SUPERVISOR TABLE GAMES

Job Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; other duties may be assigned, as necessary. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Essential Job Functions:
  1. Must be flexible to accommodate holidays or additional days as directed by management.
  2. Upbeat personality for all interactions with guests and fellow employees.
  3. Must be flexible in days and hours worked.
  4. Proactive in anticipating customer needs.
  5. Dealers must be motivated in familiarizing themselves with all guests’ names and personal facts.
  6. Must possess money handling skills in providing chips for guests.
  7. Knowledge of card games.
  8. Basic knowledge of other games and services offered at the property.
  9. Knowledge of department policies and procedures, including those pertaining to Federal and Regulatory laws and guidelines.
  10. Routinely strives to build and achieve customer satisfaction.
  11. Exercises appropriate discretion in identifying communications of special promotions to customers.
  12. Coordinates with Casino Operations supervisor and Security to detect and prevent attempts to cheat and to identify floor irregularities to a Casino Operations Supervisor, Lead Shift Supervisor, or Casino Manager.
  13. Acts as a role model and presents oneself as a credit to Harrah's Gulf Coast and encourages others to do the same.
  14. Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies.
Qualifications:

Qualifications: At least 6 months dealing experience is required and/or successful completion of dealer school or program at an accredited institution. Must possess strong money handling and documentation skills. Must meet Harrah’s Gulf Coast standards in regard to rules, game knowledge, and dealing. Must have knowledge of casino rules, procedures, and regulations pertaining to the Table games. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team across departments and levels of management. Must present a well-groomed appearance.

Education and/or Experience: High school diploma preferred.

Working Conditions: Must be able to work inside and continuously maneuver around Pit area and throughout the hotel/casino property. Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, twist, lift and work at a sit down table. Responds to visual and aural cues. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to acknowledge, greet, and converse in English with customers. Must be able to operate a typewriter, computer, telephone, ten key adding machine, and calculator, photocopy machine and fax machine. Must be able to lift, pull, push or carry up to 40 pounds. Must have the manual dexterity to handle paperwork, operate computers, and other Pit equipment. When on casino floor, must be able to tolerate areas containing second hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
