Job summary

Girlstart is seeking a MA Program Coordinator to lead the local implementation of STEM programs across Massachusetts. You will partner with school administrators, teachers, parents, donors, and STEM CREW to advance Girlstart's mission and ensure high-quality program delivery.

This role oversees STEM CREW staffing, coordinates logistics for after-school clubs, summer camps and conferences, and drives outreach to new districts while representing Girlstart at events in the Boston area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related experience in youth programming or informal STEM education.
• Minimum two years of experience in planning and implementing quality programming for youth.
• Ability to supervise, motivate, train, and coach college-age youth.
• Willingness to learn HR systems to hire and onboard staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Positive, friendly, flexible and outgoing.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Self-motivated team player who fosters cooperation.
• Proven track record of meeting deadlines and deliverables.
• Integrity, credibility and commitment to Girlstart mission.
• Reliable, dependable and timely.
• Knowledge of educational standards and youth curriculum experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, manage, and supervise STEM CREW staff.
• Review and approve biweekly payroll for STEM CREW.
• Maintain regular communication and provide feedback to STEM CREW.
• Organize Massachusetts area programming logistics and day-to-day implementation.
• Maintain participant registration forms, parent communications, attendance, surveys, photos.
• Facilitate relationships between program partners, STEM CREW, and Girlstart.
• Work with Girlstart team to implement Community STEM programming including annual Girls in STEM Conference.
• Supervise and deliver in-person programming (clubs, camps, community programs) as needed.
• Represent Girlstart at MA area events (recruitment events, luncheons, networking, volunteer fairs).
• Lead conversations with new school districts to expand Girlstart presence in the region.
