Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern Maine is seeking a dedicated 21st Century Community Learning Center Program Coordinator for our South Portland location. You will design and implement daily STEM/arts programming, coordinate enrollment, and supervise tutors, while collaborating with families and school staff to support student success.

The role emphasizes trauma‑informed practices, inclusivity, and ongoing program improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience with middle school-aged youth in educational or recreational settings.
• Bachelor’s degree in education, child development, recreation, art, or related field preferred.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement daily academic and arts enrichment programming aligned with 21st CCLC goals.
• Coordinate enrollment, schedules, and family engagement activities.
• Supervise tutors/volunteers and ensure high-quality instruction.
• Collaborate with school staff and community partners to promote student success.
• Prepare monthly reports and maintain accurate attendance records.
• Ensure safe, inclusive environments and plan special events.
