Job summary

Girlstart is seeking After School Program Leaders (STEM CREW) to lead hands-on, after school programs across the Boston area (Waltham, Woburn, Somerville). A car is not required; transportation costs will be covered.

Programs meet weekly for 1–1.5 hours after the school day, with a total commitment of 5–8 hours per week. Training is provided; you will inspire girls in STEM and support program delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience working with kids preferred.
• Desire to empower and educate students in STEM.
• Reliable transportation to drive to locations is required.
• Comfortable presenting to a group of students.
• Classroom management skills helpful.
• Proficient using Google Drive apps.
• Strong time management skills.
• All majors welcome (STEM background not required).

Responsibilities

• Lead weekly after-school STEM activities at partner schools.
• Prepare lessons and drive to locations; run activities.
• Support with lesson prep and room management.
• Attend mandatory ongoing training.
