Job summary

BlueWave is hiring an Associate, Project Development in Massachusetts to support a portfolio of solar and energy storage projects from origination through construction readiness. The role collaborates with senior team members across permitting, interconnection, design, financing, and execution to advance projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Engineering, Environmental Studies, Business, Public Policy, or related field preferred.
3-4+ years in renewable energy project development, real estate development, land use, permitting, energy policy, or related field.
Experience with solar, energy storage, community solar, distributed generation, or MA renewable energy market preferred.
Understanding of permitting, site diligence, stakeholder coordination, schedule management, budgeting, project documentation.

Responsibilities

Support development of solar and energy storage projects across Massachusetts from origination through construction readiness.
Advance projects through permitting, due diligence, design, interconnection, financing, and construction-readiness milestones.
Track schedules, budgets, and development tasks to keep projects on plan.
Prepare project summaries, investment materials, budget requests, and documentation for decisions.
Represent BlueWave at public hearings, community meetings, and stakeholder discussions.
Monitor MA regulatory and permitting developments affecting project viability and competitiveness.
