Job summary

BlueWave, a mission-driven clean energy developer in Boston, seeks an Electrical Engineer I to design and calculate packages for solar PV and battery storage projects from concept to construction. You will manage RFIs and submittals to ensure milestones are met safely and efficiently.

You will collaborate with development and grid teams, review equipment specs, and contribute to QA/QC, commissioning, and energy modeling tasks, leveraging AutoCAD, ETAP, and Helioscope tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; FE required, PE preferred.
• Minimum 2+ years in electrical engineering with grid-scale or utility experience.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and industry standards.
• Experience with solar PV and battery storage projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and design software; familiarity with SIFT/Helioscope.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and calculate packages for solar and storage projects from concept through construction.
• Manage RFIs and submittals to meet milestones safely and on schedule.
• Coordinate with development and grid teams to ensure compliant interconnection.
• Review equipment specs (transformers, switchgear) for procurement.
• Update QA/QC procedures for commissioning and start-up.
• Verify energy generation estimates and related model inputs.
