Freres Engineered Wood, based in Lyons, Oregon, is seeking a Sales Engineer / Mass Timber Estimator to bridge technical sales and drafting. You will analyze customer needs, develop cost estimates, and draft detailed Mass Ply panels and connections using Cadwork and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is preferred but not required.
• Experience in cost estimating, technical sales support, drafting, or project coordination for mass timber.
• Proficiency in Cadwork; familiarity with Revit, Rhino, or AutoCAD is a plus.
• Strong skills in cost estimating, take-offs, pricing, and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical and engineering information on Mass Ply products by analyzing customer needs and drawings.
• Offer value engineering and feasibility assessments aligned with mass timber requirements.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors through technical consultations.
• Lead cost estimates reviewing blueprints and specs; oversee design through fabrication and shipment.
