Job summary

Freres Engineered Wood in Lyons, Oregon, seeks a Sales Engineer / Mass Timber Estimator to blend technical sales support with hands-on drafting. You will analyze customer needs, prepare detailed cost estimates from blueprints, and generate CAD-ready schematics for Mass Ply Panels and related components using Cadwork.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree – Civil Engineering preferred.
Relevant experience in cost estimating, technical sales support, drafting, or project coordination for mass timber or engineered wood products.
Proficiency in timber CAD/CAM software, Cadwork; knowledge of Revit, Rhino, or AutoCAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

Technical Sales & Application Engineering: provide expert technical and engineering information on Mass Ply products.
Cost Estimating & Project Technical Leadership: prepare detailed, accurate cost estimates from blueprints and docs.
Drafting & Design Development: develop schematics, 3D models, shop drawings, and fabrication files.
