Skilled US is seeking a Masonry Instructor to deliver NCCER Masonry Level 1 (5th Edition) to adults in a 6-week, 224-hour IET cohort, guiding learners from safety and basic tools to residential masonry and employment readiness.

The role emphasizes hands-on lab instruction, OSHA 10 compliance, and embedding workforce-readiness activities, with ongoing NCCER credentialing and career coaching.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: HS diploma or HSE with NCCER/Masonry Craft Instructor cert or 5 years masonry experience.
• Must hold or obtain NCCER ICTP within first year.
• OSHA 10 certification is required.
• Strong understanding of masonry fundamentals including brick, block, mortar and residential construction.
• Ability to supervise and mentor adult learners in hands-on labs.
• Proficiency with computer applications and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Deliver NCCER Masonry Level 1 modules across the 6-week, 224-hour IET cohort, aligned with NCCER standards and WIOA Title II requirements.
• Provide hands-on instruction in masonry fundamentals and supervise lab safety.
• Administer NCCER module tests and track certification records in the NCCER Registry to secure credential attainment.
• Embed Adult Education and Literacy activities aligned to WIOA Title II within each week’s NCCER instruction.
• Build relationships with area employers and community organizations for work-based learning and student placement.
